nfo on wines:
-Red Wines: Merlot, Cabernet, and Pinot Noir
-White Wines: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
-Blushes (mixture of red and white): White Zinfandel
-Red Wine is never chilled.
-Red wine goes with red meat(steak) and white wine goes with white meat(turkey, chicken, pork, and fish).
-Same goes for pasta, Red wine/Red sauce, White wine/White sauce
-Dessert Wine: Moscato D’Asti and Port
-Dessert Wines are typically served with fruits, pasties, alone or with dessert(obvi).
A Few Etiquette Tips:
-Always hang your purse on your chair or put it in your lap never on the table.
-Depending on the level of the restaurant you may have a few servers they will always address the gentleman at the table first. Its cool.
-No SLOUCHING!
-Always let the gentleman order for the table
-Don’t start eating or drinking wine until he starts/toasts with you.
-When there is a lot of silverware on the table always start with the utensils on the outside first.
-Even if you have a straw lift the glass up to your mouth. Don’t slouch over to sip. And don’t slurp!
-(I don’t agree with this) No matter how good the food is , leave a little on the plate.
-When you are finished with your meal close the knife and fork by placing your knife in the middle of your fork prongs.
-When your date is over (and your comfortable enough to let him drive you wherever/pick you up), let him open your car door for you, and slide over and open his door for him. He will probably ask you if you’ve seen A Bronx Tale because a woman in that movie did the same. Just lie its probably a great movie. lol
